Updating suppliers shouldn't eat your week

You sell on behalf of many suppliers, and every one of them wants to know how their deals and leads are progressing. So your week fills with status calls and "quick update" emails, and the updates still slip.

Endless update calls
Half-hour meetings just to say what an email could.
Suppliers left guessing
When updates slip, suppliers chase you, or fly blind.
The same context, retyped
You re-explain the whole deal every single time.

The problem

Why supplier updates break down

Suppliers need to know how their deals are going. Distributors need to spend their time selling. Here is what that tension costs both sides, and why nothing has fixed it yet.

How channel sales really works

Most suppliers and manufacturers don't sell alone. They rely on channel partners: distributors, resellers, and agents who own the customer relationship on the ground. The supplier sends leads, or the partner develops their own, and a single deal can take months from first contact to purchase order.

During those months, the supplier is essentially blind. The conversation lives in the distributor's inbox, at another company, often in another country and another language. The only way for a supplier to see inside is to ask.

So they ask. Constantly.

Pipeline review calls. "Any news on this one?" emails. Spreadsheets and portal forms the partner is supposed to fill in. Every supplier builds its own reporting routine, and every one of those routines lands on the same distributor.

A distributor who represents eight or ten suppliers can lose hours every week to reporting alone. Thirty minutes on a call here, an update email there, the same deal explained again to a different channel manager. None of that time sells anything.

Simple math, and it's conservative

Why updates slip

Distributors aren't careless. They're busy. Writing a good update means finding the thread, re-reading it, remembering what this particular supplier already knows, and writing it up properly, often in a second language. That's fifteen minutes of unpaid admin per deal, multiplied across every active opportunity and every supplier.

So updates get postponed. Suppliers start chasing. Trust erodes on both sides, and everyone ends up with a worse version of the information, later.

Why the usual fixes fail

Supplier portals
Every supplier has its own partner portal and expects you to log in and retype what already sits in your inbox. Ten suppliers means ten portals. Adoption dies quietly.
CRM access
Most distributors don't work inside their suppliers' CRM, and many distributors run no CRM at all. The deal lives in email, because email is where the customer is.
Generic AI chatbots
A chatbot can summarize a thread, but it doesn't know which deal it belongs to, or what you told that supplier last month. You still do all the remembering.

What it costs

For the supplier: forecasting from guesswork, late warnings on stuck deals, and no chance to help remove a blocker while it still matters. A supplier who hears about a competitive threat three weeks late has already lost the chance to respond.

For the distributor: hours lost every week, strained relationships, and being chased instead of trusted. There's a money cost too. At a typical loaded cost of $60 per sales hour, those 48 yearly hours of review calls are roughly $2,900 per salesperson, before counting the deals that didn't get worked in that time.

The update itself was never the problem. The work of producing it was. Remove the work, and the updates flow.

ChanneLoop removes the work, not the update

It turns the email thread you already have into a sharp, memory-aware update for any supplier you represent, in about 15 seconds, without your customer's emails ever leaving your inbox.

How it works

From your inbox to an informed supplier, in about 15 seconds

ChanneLoop is an add-in that lives inside your mailbox, currently in beta for Microsoft Outlook. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.

Currently in beta for Microsoft Outlook
1

Open ChanneLoop on the conversation

You're reading or replying to a customer email. Open the ChanneLoop panel right there in your mailbox. The add-in picks up the thread automatically. Nothing to copy, nowhere else to go.

2

It recognizes the customer

ChanneLoop reads the customer's email domain and matches it to the right account. If you already track opportunities with that customer, it suggests the most likely one. Confirm with one click, or switch to another.

3

New deal? The form fills itself

For a new opportunity, ChanneLoop drafts the record straight from the thread: product, brand, value, location, contact person, and a short description. You review, adjust anything, and save. No retyping.

4

It writes only what's new

ChanneLoop remembers what you last told this supplier about this deal, so the new update covers only what changed since. First update on a deal? You get a complete briefing instead. Choose a smart summary, a quick two-liner, or write your own, and add a personal note if you like, such as proposing a call.

5

You review, then send

Nothing leaves without your approval. The update becomes a clean, professional email sent from your own address. Your supplier needs no account, no portal, and no software. To them, it's simply a great email from you.

The memory that makes it different

Most AI tools start from zero every time you use them. ChanneLoop keeps a private memory per deal and per supplier: what you sent, and when. That's how it can send only the difference, and why your suppliers never read the same paragraph twice.

It's also why an update takes seconds instead of fifteen minutes. The remembering is already done.

New lead? It starts the relationship right

When a supplier assigns you a new lead, usually an automated email from their CRM, ChanneLoop recognizes it for what it is. It offers to create the opportunity on the spot and drafts a professional acknowledgment: lead received, your first read of it, and when you'll report back. The supplier's first impression of you on that deal is speed.

Private by design

Your customer conversations are confidential, sometimes under NDA. ChanneLoop is built around that fact. The supplier receives only the summary you approved. The raw thread never leaves your mailbox, and you see every word before it goes out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The things distributors ask us most. Something missing? Email info@ChanneLoop.com and we'll answer personally.

No. ChanneLoop lives inside your mailbox as an add-in. You use it right on the email thread you already have open, where you already work. There is no separate system to visit and no data to retype.
A normal email, sent from your own address, containing the update you approved. Your supplier doesn't need ChanneLoop, an account, or a login. To them it simply looks like you became remarkably good at timely updates.
No. The supplier sees only the summary you approve. The raw conversation stays with you, and you review every word of every update before it goes out. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
The beta runs on Microsoft Outlook. Support for other mailboxes is planned. Join the pilot and tell us what you use, it genuinely shapes what we build next.
That's the whole point. Add every supplier you represent and update any of them from one place. ChanneLoop keeps a separate memory per supplier and per deal, so each supplier only ever receives what concerns them.
A general AI assistant can summarize text, but it doesn't know your deals, your suppliers, or what you told each of them last time. ChanneLoop tracks your opportunities and remembers every update per supplier, so it writes only what's new, recognizes new lead assignments, and keeps a history per deal. The remembering is the product.
The pilot is free. After that, pricing will be per person, roughly the cost of a business lunch per month. Pilot participants get preferred terms when paid plans arrive.
Each account belongs to one person and is tied to their own work sign-in, the same identity their mailbox runs on. Teams simply add a seat per salesperson, and each person gets their own deals, memory, and history.
Your deal records and updates belong to you, are stored securely, and are never sold or shared. Suppliers see only the updates you choose to send them. Treating your customer conversations as confidential is the founding principle of the product.
We're onboarding pilot distributors now, in small groups so every pilot user gets real attention. Leave your email below, or write to info@ChanneLoop.com to schedule a call or a demo.
